Happy New Year 2009 and you are 28 months old!

We have step into a New Year, another year has gone by.

What have you done last year, have you been good or bad? What have you learned and gained in 2008?

Let’s take a stroll back in times and see. . .

You were playing with papa on the bed and you fall and had a bad cut with bruises on your forehead but you heal well with no scar on your forehead.

Started your half-day child care classes in September 2008 with lots of tears but you have over come it bravely and is coping well in class. Well done my darling daughter!

Being sick is part and parcel of life journey. What papa and mummy need to do is to focus on educating you some personal hygienic and build up your immune system which you can take along with you for life; prevention is always better than cure.

Falling down from running is rather common in your case because you have taken after your mummy genes of being clumsy, your mummy has fallen down even just by walking on a flat street, so don't expect much.

Things you love to do with papa; painting, drawing, story telling, swimming, hide and seek, going to playground, watching DVD on papa’s laptop, etc.

Things you love to do with mummy; sleeping, hugging, feeding, dressing you up, singing, chatting before bed time, etc.

We have managed and successfully cut you off from your pacifier the next big thing will be your thumb sucking which I strongly discourage from the start but was not taken into ears.

You are doing well in toilet training but there are still times which you miss due to your playfulness and stubbornness as well.

You are able to communicate rather well for a two years old and will argue / rebuke back at times. You are learning fast with quick thinking, there are times you took us by surprise with your vocabularies and replied.

You start to have lots of “creative ideas” which leads to some mischievous act; it can be both funny and angry being your parents we need to put a stop to it when necessary even thou it may seem rather harmless and funny. We definitely do not want you to have the wrong impression and values of input.

You are now in the stages of learning just like a sponge that will absorb whatever that goes around you and react to what you come in contact with e.g. words, action, behaviour, tonality of speech, etc. With all of these going on around you, papa and mummy need to ensure that you are learning the correct stuff and also the values and meaning of respect, mannerism, behaviour, etc. before it gets out of hands. Mummy has been very strict with you these days especially when you refuse to follow or listen to the rules being set down. I don't expect much just hope that you will be able to understand why and hopefully gain lots of it as you grow up to be fine lady with great charisma.

We have brought you a big Barney as your Christmas present. You love it so much that you sleep with it every night and will ask for it the minute you open your eyes and you even chat with Big Barney more than you chat with us!

Overall you have been the highlight of papa and mummy’s life since the day you were born. In another few weeks times we are expecting the arrival of your younger sister and hopefully you will love her as we have loved you and of course the love and attention for you will not be any lesser it will just multiply as love have no limit and boundary.

As your parents we hope for nothing much just the well being of your health and a happy family. Togetherness we will go through all times be it good or bad.
